  • What is an ExpertoItaly holiday?
    We specialise in tailor-made holidays that include anything from a simple 3-night accommodation to a multicentre itinerary including car hire, accommodation, trains, private tours, cooking class and chartering a boat.
  • Can I book my own flights?
    Yes, with an ExpertoItaly holiday, you can either make your own travel arrangements or leave us to organise everything for you. 
  • What protection does ExpertoItaly offers its customers?
    We are a fully bonded tour operator and our holidays offer 100% financial protection. We also offer peace of mind to those booking holidays without flights with our TTA memebrship (Q7175).

  • What is your relationship with the hotels you feature?
    We are a team of specialists, experienced in arranging holidays to Italy and we know the hotels featured very well. However, we are always on the lookout for new hotels through our own detective work, client recommendations and our networking with travel experts.

    All properties are regularly monitored through customer feedback and repeat visits.
  • Do you cater for the family market?
    Yes, definitely! Several of our properties are perfect for children. Some of the team have children so hotel checks are carried out both as singles and with our families.
  • If I want to avoid the main tourist spots, can you provide good local information?
    Yes, certainly. We know all of the areas we feature extremely well and can give you some great recommendations for eating with the locals, walks, gardens and finding quieter villages, beaches and local beauty spots.
  • Can ExpertoItaly help with special events, honeymoons etc ?
    Absolutely. We've discovered some fabulous places for group celebrations - weddings, parties, family reunions, small business seminars and photo shoots. And we also have several destinations and properties which are ideal for a honeymoon or a romantic holiday.
  • Can you book opera/concert tickets?
    Yes, whether it's the Opera in Milan, a football match or the Ravello Music festival we can assist with any event bookings.
  • Can I book online?
    For a number of reasons, we do not show availability online and the prices on our website are for guidance only. We suggest you contact us for up-to-date availability and for the best possible price.
  • What's the booking process and how do you price my holiday?
    You can contact us by phone on + 44 (0) 8089 3226, via email on holidays@expertoitaly.com.

    Once we have established your requirements, we can provide a range of options. After the initial consultation, we will email you one or more proposals with the best possible price at the time of booking. We are also able to hold the suggested accommodation on option for 48 hours but flights are instant purchase and fares can not be guaranteed until the time of booking.
  • How do I confirm a booking?
    We require the full payment of your holiday 8 weeks before departure. If a booking is made before the 8-week timeframe, we also request a £ 120 per person deposit, plus the total cost of the flights. Some arrangements might need to be prepaid or may incur a larger deposit but you will be advised of this at the time of booking.
  • About extra taxes?
    When staying in certain locations in Italy there is a local tourist tax which guests are required to pay on check out of the hotel. The cost of this tax can vary depending on region and accommodation star rating and is calculated on a per person per night basis. We will inform you at the time of booking of the tourist tax relevant to your destination.
  • What happens after I have paid? Will I receive written confirmation of my reservation?
    Yes. Once the arrangements are confirmed you will be sent a Booking Confirmation. 
    Please check all your details on the Booking Confirmation and your emails from us to ensure names, dates and times are all correct and if not telephone us immediately on +44 (0) 8089 3226.

    Of course, we are always available from the time of booking and throughout your holiday should you need to modify or enhance your holiday with other special add-ons such as car hire, a private guided tour or tickets to the Opera or a football match.
  • When will I receive my travel documents?
    This will be sent to you by post or email 2-3 weeks prior to your departure. We will also send to you some useful information about travelling to your destination, directions, emergency contact mobile telephone number, your accommodation/resort and the local area.

  • What do you advise regarding insurance?
    We recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance. Many credit card companies include holiday insurance as do other more general insurance policies, so you should first check these.
  • Can you help with all the extras such airport hotel / parking / lounge pass?
    We certainly can! We are a one stop shop for your holiday, just tell us what your needs.
