First stop Taormina

With just 23 bedrooms, Villa Carlotta feels more like a private house with the benefits of a first class boutique hotel.  The hotel's location within walking distance of the town means that a car is not necessary.

Doubles and Junior Suites have French balconies with either a garden or sea view while the Deluxe Suites have sea view terraces with sun loungers.

Next stop, Siracusa

Transfer to Siracusa in just under two hours by train or by bus.

The city's Baroque architecture has earned it Unesco World Heritage status and, together with its extraordinary Greek legacy, makes it one of Italy's most fascinating cities.

Originally the former residence of a salt seller on the baroque island of Ortigia, Palazzo del Sale has been transformed in to a super chic bed and breakfast in prime position for exploring the city.  Bedrooms are spacious and tastefully decorated in a modern meets ancient style with high wooden beamed ceilings and partly exposed stone walls.
