Cities of Veneto: Padua and Vicenza

An opportunity to explore some of Italy’s most magnificent architectural treasures and works of art in two of its lesser-known cities.

Start in Padua

Padua is refreshingly untouched by tourism compared to some of its fellow cities. Home to Italy’s oldest university, to Giotto’s remarkable frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel and to Europe’s biggest square, the Prato della Valle, three days in Padua are quickly filled.

Stay in the elegant contemporaryHotel Belludi 37 which aside from its reputation for outstanding service, is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town.

Take a river boat tour to Venice past the Palladian villas along the River Brenta and we can also arrange trips to Verona (and the opera).

... and end in Vicenza

The G Boutique Hotel is also very centrally located, just 200m from the Teatro Olimpico and Palazzo Chiericati. Glamorous, indulgent and with a definite ‘wow’ factor, the hotel combines chic design with state-of-the-art technology.

With many of the city’s attractions closely clustered together inside the old town walls, a full day guided tour is a good option if time is limited.
